One of the customization jobs that we offer involves enabling and hiding the quantity selector on the product page. This is particularly helpful when using booking form 2 or booking form 6.
Booking forms 2 and 6 both allow your customers to select a date range. If you want the rate to calculate based on the number of days selected the quantity selector must be enabled in order to track the duration chosen by the customer.
Shopify themes will allow you to enable or disable the quantity selector by completing the following: navigating to the Theme Editor -> selecting the Customize theme button -> Access the Product page -> select to enable or disable the quantity selector.
If you need us to complete this for you please contact us and we will provide you with a quote.
In order to provide your customers with a simpler user experience you can go 1 step further by hiding the quantity selector. This will also avoid any potential confusion since the quantity selector will not be visible when its value increases as a result of the duration that has been selected.
Option 1 - Hide the Quantity Selector
This option involves us hiding the quantity selector for you.
Option 2 - Dynamic Quantity Selector
If you have a store that offers items that are not configured in BookThatApp then you will want a dynamic quantity selector. This customization works by adjusting the label for the quantity selector depending if the product has been configured in the app or not.
As part of this customization you will also have the choice of hiding the quantity selector for BTA configured products.
Please note that Options 1 and 2 do not include enabling the quantity selector. We can also complete this as part of the customization for a small additional fee.
If you are interested in incorporating this functionality into your Shopify store please submit a ticket. Please ensure to reference this article, the option you would like, and if you also require the enabling of the quantity selector.
