The SmartrMail (SM) integration with BookThatApp (BTA) introduces features tailored specifically to the booking experience. This article outlines the existing features and will be updated as additional BTA-specific functionality becomes available.

Triggers
A trigger is the event that initiates an Automation. To view a list of available triggers, start a new automation from scratch.
When Someone Schedules a Booking
This trigger initiates an Automation whenever a customer places an order for a service configured in BTA with a selected date and time during the order process.
- Subscriber Not Required: The customer does not need to be a subscriber to receive an email triggered by this action.

Dynamic Content: You can use the
Last product purchased
merge tag in your emails to display the service that was booked, creating personalized communication.

Note- currently, you cannot add the date and time details to an email originating from SM. This will be coming soon in our updated version of the integration.
Smart Segments
Smart segments allow you to create targeted groups of subscribers that can be used as triggers for Automations. You can find all of the BTA-specific segmentation rules under the Booking section of the Rules drop-down menu, and you can learn more about Smart Segments here.
Segmentation Rules
The following segmentation rules enable you to filter subscribers based on static dates for when a booking starts or ends:
- Booking finishes after
- Booking finishes before
- Booking starts before
- Booking starts after
Segmentation Based on Specific Services
The rule below allows you to create a segment based on subscribers who have booked a specific service within a defined time frame:
- Has purchased booking product
Dynamic Segmentation by Booking Start Date
This rule lets you build a segment where subscribers are automatically added when their booking starts within a specified number of days:
- Booking starts in (#days)
