    Hi Alice,

    Upload your icons to the Asset section of the theme, then add the HTML to theme.liquid.

    Thanks, Gavin.

    Hello,

    I'm having trouble adding anything to the footer. Do you have an example of the HTML to place in the theme.liquid?

    Hi Gavin,

    I have the same request, as above.  The store wants to have a Visa, MC, PayPal, logo series on the header, under the search block in the top right corner.  I made the logo series (visa_mc_logo.jpg) scaled down to size in one small image and loaded it into the assets as you instructed above.

    Can the image be associated with the search block html (because the div_id in the html theme.liquid is for "search block") in the styles.css.liquid in this case, or can it only be associated through the theme.liquid..?

    A code line example would be helpful for this query.

    Thanks, Tracy

    Can the image be associated with the search block html

    Yes, you can put the image anywhere you like.

    Use standard HTML/CSS + liquid to add the image:

    <img id="credit-cards-logo" src="{{ 'visa\_mc\_logo.jpg' | asset\_url }}" alt="" />

    Then add the CSS to suit - e.g:

    #credit-cards-logo {float:right; height:32px; width:100px}

    I have no clue what I'm doing.. Do we just copy and paste this in the theme liquid?

    <img id="credit-cards-logo" src="{{ 'visa\_mc\_logo.jpg' | asset\_url }}" alt="" />

    Then add the CSS to suit - e.g:

    #credit-cards-logo {float:right; height:32px; width:100px}

    Hi Brittany,

    Yes, paste the code in theme.liquid and the CSS goes in styles.css.liquid.

    Thanks, Gavin.

    I followed the steps but for some reason it wont show the logo it just shows X where the logos should be..

    The X means it can't find the image. Did you upload it to your assets area? If you did, does the file name match what you used for the src attribute? In the example above, the file name is visa_mc_logo.jpg.

    I'm new to Shopify and using the Minimal theme. I've used these directions and was able to place an image with a link under my Search box but only because there is a "Logiin or Create an account" option on the top left side.  On a second version of Minimal the image appears next to the Shopping Cart icon because there is no "Logiin or Create an account" option on the top left side of this second account.  I've edited the code in the theme liquid,  added the CSS and loaded the two images.  Seems like maybe I need to add in the theme lliquid a div after the cart code and before the Menu code. This would be at Line 77 or 78.  Or if I'm way off base please let me know.  Thank you.
