You can use Opening Hours to set your hours of operation either at a store level, product level, or by staff member. This lets you set the days and times that you are available to accept bookings. It also lets you set seasons so you can have different opening hours at different times of the year.
For example, if you have a high and low season, you would first create a season called High and set the date range for the months in the season. ie/ May to Sept. You would then create a second season called Low and set the date range for the balance of the months. ie/ Oct to April.
The Opening Hours can be found in the app by selecting Configuration from the BTA admin left-hand nav and then selecting Opening Hours.
Note: you cannot have overlapping seasons. This means that if you are making seasons that apply to specific products or all of your products the seasons cannot overlap. In some cases it may mean creating a few additional seasons.
Example- Creating a special season for the holidays that runs from December 13th to December 26th. The first season will run from January 1 to December 12. The next season runs from December 13 to December 26. And the final season runs from December 27 to December 31.
How to Update Opening Hours
If you just need to edit your existing schedule you will follow these steps. To change Opening Hours, please follow the steps below:
- To remove availability for a day of the week select the Closed button
- To edit an existing start or end time select the appropriate time field and adjust as needed
- To add an additional set of hours in a day select the plus symbol (+) found to the right of the close time
- If a day of the week has multiple sets of hours, to remove a set select the minus symbol (-)
- Select Save
Adding an Additional Season
- To add an additional season, click on the + symbol to open a new tab
- Enter a unique name for the season
- Select a date range
- Leave the Products field in its default state unless the season is meant to be product-specific
- Select Save
- Select the 24 Hours button for any dates where you will add a schedule
- Select the start and end times in the Open and Close fields
- If a day will have multiple sets of times you will select the + symbol
- Select Save
Adding Product Specific Hours
- To add an additional set of hours for a specific product, click on the + symbol to open a new tab
- Enter a unique name for the season
- Select a date range
- Select the product/s from the Products drop-down to which these hours apply
- Select Save
- Select the 24 Hours button for any dates where you will add a schedule
- Select the start and end times in the Open and Close fields
- If a day will have multiple sets of times you will select the + symbol
- Select Save
Setting Hours at the Staff Level
- First, create Staff Accounts for your staff members
- Next, create a Resource where the type is set to Staff
- Assign a Staff Account as a User in the resource's settings
- Select Save
- In the Availability section of the page select the Edit link
- Select the Add Opening Hours button
- Enter a unique name for the season
- Select a date range
- Select Save
- Select the 24 Hours button for any dates where you will add a schedule
- Select the start and end times in the Open and Close fields
- If a day will have multiple sets of times you will select the + symbol
- Select Save
