    I just asked this question yesterday, the help desk told me it was not possible. I was also told that so far no one else had requested it, but they would look into it if there was enough demand.

    Sold out classes are shown on the calendar, and you can click into them to go to the product page. The rationale is that if there is another class later on that is not booked out then the customer can choose that.  Most of the stores we've worked with prefer it that way.

    I think if an event is sold out than knowing that when the customer looks at the calendar is better. That way they can see at a glance what events are still available and which are sold out. It seems to me that clicking on an event only to find it sold out is annoying. Why not give us both options?

    I agree. One class I offer is sometimes booked out months in advance, so when every date the click on for several days in a row shows a bunch of dates around it also booked out, it is discouraging. Also, most of the time they are not looking for the next available date, they are looking for the next available Saturday. In which case they would have to click on every single Saturday from now until June until they found one. The main reason I added a calendar was per customer request. The other reason is to stop getting so many phone calls and emails, simply asking a question that could be answered by looking at a calendar which shows in real time what dates are available. If it doesn't work the way the customer expects, it makes their experience frustrating. I understand the rationale that they give, but it does not pertain to my business, and has a negative effect, making a customer guess at dates until they find one that works. I did switch to date picker, so I will see if that helps. I'm happy with all of the other aspects of the app. The customer service helping me get it set up was excellent, but if it doesn't work well for my customers I may have to look at other options, which will be frustrating, because I really love Shopify and this is the only calendar that integrates. But keeping my customers happy is most important!
