    Oh ok.  So it requires the fulfillment company to be able to interpret the information?  Shopify won't simply submit a request to the fulfilment services for each SKU number individually?

    Hi Aaron,

    No, the Sync Inventory task doesn't do anything regarding fulfilment. It is not possible to achieve that level of integration as it currently stands.

    Thanks, Gavin.

    @Lisa - Yes. The bundle product should be set to not track inventory.

    would the items that make up the bundle be able to be sold separetly yet reduce the same inventory. So the shirt in the bundle will not have to be listed twice and have 2 sets of inventory - one for the shirt in the bundle and one for the shirt sold on its own?

    Thanks

    @John - Yes. Items in the bundle can have their own inventory tracking turned on. This is the default Shopify behaviour and not impacted by the App.

    Hi there,

    I am trying to set up a bundled product where the customer can select 2 of any style within a product.  How do I do this?

    For example, I have the same watch in 4 colors (I've set up my store to where each product is a standalone product with its own SKU), and I would like to create a bundled product where the customer has 2 dropdowns on the product page to select the colors they want (e.g., white/white, white/ pink, white, blue, white/black, pink/pink, pink/white, pink/blue, etc.   Is this possible?

    I've set up this product (https://citiesocial.myshopify.com/admin/products/242995193  password: *****), but I haven't been able to successfully map it to its component SKUs (white - http://citiesocial.myshopify.com/products/2948; pink - http://citiesocial.myshopify.com/products/2946; blue - http://citiesocial.myshopify.com/products/2947; black - http://citiesocial.myshopify.com/products/2945)

    Thanks very much for your help,

    Eric

    @Eric The sync task doesn't change anything in the store front. It simply monitors your orders and if it sees a variant come through that has been set up in a sync task it will go ahead and decrement the inventory of the other variants by the same quantity that was ordered.

    Hi,

    I'm just testing the Shopify Assistant app, and have one question. We will be using the app mostly for bundles.

    Does the app take the main 'Bundle' item out of stock if an individual component of the item goes out of stock?

    For example, if one item that makes up the bundle runs out - will the overall bundle remain available to buy?

    Please see this article: http://support.zetya.com/entries/20754371-Synchronizing-Product-Bundle-Inventory

    At the bottom there are instructions on how to make the main product unavailable if any of the component parts are sold out.

    I already have all my products set up in a Shopify import spreadsheet, and I'd like to simply add some behind-the-scenes "ingredient" products. So I'm trying to update my current products and set up the new ones.

    When I change Variant Inventory Tracker from Shopify to "do not track" and try to import, I get this error: "Inventory management is Do not track inventory, so fulfillment service must also be Do not track inventory."

    When I change Variant Fulfillment Service to Do Not Track I get a new error saying "Fulfillment service is not defined for your shop."

    I have hundreds of lines of products so I need to be able to do this via import.

    Help please!

    Courtney

    Ah, never mind. I got Shopify support and they said I could leave the Inventory Tracker column blank. So that solved that.

    My next problem is that I can't find the size/color variants of my products when I try to set up relationships, and manually setting up tasks for every size/color combo of my 800 lines of products looks like it is going to take years. Is there a way to do this in bulk? Seems like one should be able to put a bundle sku in one column and a component sku in a second column, and import somehow.

    Hi Courtney

    Not at the moment.  It's on our future release plans but I don't have a date for it.  You can duplicate tasks which helps speed up the process.

    Thanks

    Bummer. What about search by sku?

    And aside from making it quicker, I still have the problem that my unpublished variations (size/color combos) aren't showing in the app, so I have no way to decrement the correct size/color. I'm just seeing the one published variation of each product. I need to see the "behind the scenes" size/color combos in order for this to work for me, even manually. What am I missing?

    Hi Courtney

    There is a search function available that lets you sort by the Shopify product ID.

    Hidden products do not show up in the app due to the way the Shopify API works.  You need to make them visible and then exclude them from your store collections so they are not visible on the site.

    If you have any further questions specific to your store, please raise a ticket and we'll be happy to respond.

    Thanks

    I'm using the Venture theme but am having problems locating the liquid script to make sure bundles stop selling once a component is sold out.  I've looked through the various liquids but have not been able to find it.  Would it definitely be somewhere?  Should I add that script somewhere?

    These are the instructions I'm using:

    http://support.zetya.com/entries/20754371-Synchronizing-Product-Bundle-Inventory

    I cannot find the script

    var selectCallback = function(variant, selector) {

      if (variant && variant.available) {

      <existing code>

      }

    }

    @Kevin

    This was answered in the two tickets your shop submitted earlier about being unable to find the code.

    Using your example at the top of the page could each time this task runs, it decrement 2 or 3 blue shirts and one green sweater from the two component products?

    @Matt

    Yes, there is a multiplier that you can apply to each component.
