By default, BookThatApp uses the time zone set up in your Shopify admin to determine the time zone for your bookings. However the app also supports multiple time zones for events and activities if they are held in a different time zone to the store.
Set or Change the Default Time Zone
- Log in to your Shopify admin
- Click on Settings
- Scroll down to "Standards and formats"
- Select time zone
- Save
Assigning a Time Zone to a Location
When you set up a location, you can assign a time zone to that location. This will then show any events scheduled for that location in the time zone selected. To add a time zone to your location, please follow the steps below:
- Log into the app admin via Shopify or www.bookthatapp.com
- Click on Settings
- Click on Locations
- Open up the location where you want to add a timezone
- Select the timezone
- Save
Allowing Customers to Select a Time Zone
Each booking widget has the option to display a time zone helper. This lets a customer see the event or appointment time in their local time as opposed to the timezone of the shop or location.
- Log into the app admin via Shopify or www.bookthatapp.com
- Click on Widgets
- Select the widget where you want to add the time zone helper
- Tick the box next to "Time zone helper"
- Save
