Permissions
When you install a Shopify App you are prompted to approve the permissions that the App requires.
This page details the permissions that BookThatApp requires and how we use the information. You can read more about Shopify App permissions here.
Permission List
Permission | Use |
Write Products | Access to products that will be used for booking and allows the App to create products from within BookThatApp admin |
Write Orders | Create bookings from orders and update orders with tags and metafields according to how BookThatApp has been configured |
Write Customers | Allow BookThatApp to show a list of customers, or create a new customer if required, when creating a manual booking |
Write Script Tags | Used during the install process so that the BookThatApp storefront integration code can be loaded |
Write Themes | Used during the install process so that the BookThatApp storefront integration code can be loaded |
Write Draft Orders | Allows manually created bookings to set up a draft order in Shopify in order to collect payment |
Write Fulfillments | Allows BookThatApp to mark orders as fulfilled after the booking is completed |
Read Locations | Allows BookThatApp to synchronize the list of locations so that they can be used to configure opening hours and availability. |
Write Inventory | Updates variant inventory tracking for products configured in BookThatApp |
Permission Updates
When there is a change to the permissions required by BookThatApp you will be prompted to update when you log in.
If you are the store owner (or have permission in your Shopify login to make App changes) then you'll see the "Approve new permissions" button which will take you through the approval process in Shopify:
Please note that permission updates do not change how BookThatApp is configured or installed - these update message will only appear when permission changes need approval.
